A Flashlight for June: The Klarus ST15

If you’re looking for a high-end everyday carry flashlight that is ready for any situation, then look no further! The Klarus ST15 has a blinding maximum output of 1100 lumens and it has a maximum beam distance of 305 meters. That’s a little over 1000 feet! It features two switches: a tail switch that turns the flashlight ON and OFF and a side switch that cycles through the brightness modes and accesses the strobe mode. The ST15 has four brightness modes: Turbo - 1100 lumens, High - 400 lumens, Medium - 100 lumens, and Low - 10 lumens. The High and Medium brightness modes are excellent for everyday use and illuminate a fairly wide rea.

With it’s built-in intelligent memory function, the ST15 will automatically turn onto the last brightness setting you used. This is incredibly helpful in reserving battery power. Often the High and Medium brightness levels are all you need so it can be wasteful if the flashlight automatically turned onto the Turbo brightness level every time.

Also, on the side switch is a battery power indicator that will glow red when the battery power is nearly depleted. There is nothing more convenient than a battery power indicator. It’s always a pain when the flashlight goes off unexpectedly and it always seems to happen at the worst time.
