Best and Longest Throw LED Flashlights
here are many reasons why having a flashlight with a long beam distance is important. For example, you’ll want a long beam throw for search and rescue, hunting coyotes at night, hiking, and more. One question we often hear is, “which flashlight has the longest throw?” So today I thought I would talk about some of our flashlights that have the longest and best beam throws! Buckle up because there are a lot of them! To give you another idea of how long these beam distances are, there are about 1609 meters in one mile.
Klarus XT12GT - 603 meters (1978 feet)
The XT12GT is Klarus’ most recent release so it’s no surprise that it has the strongest beam throw by far! This tactical flashlight uses a CREE XHP35 HI D4 LED and this LED combined with the long and smooth reflector allows the XT12GT to have such an impressive beam throw! It can deliver up to 1600 lumens and features four brightness levels and two specialty modes: strobe and SOS. With its dual tactical tail switch, you can operate the XT12GT with one hand easily. Olight M20SX Javelot - 370 meters (1214 feet)
The Olight M20SX Javelot is a fantastic flashlight equipped with a CREE XM L2 LED and delivers 820 lumens! This tactical flashlight features three brightness levels and a strobe mode to disorient any potential attackers. You can take advantage of the memory function, pick your favorite brightness mode and have the flashlight always turn onto that mode. With a tail switch and a side switch, the M20SX Javelot is fairly easy to operate.
Nitecore MH20GT - 362 meters (1188 feet)
The Nitecore MH20GT is an awesome EDC flashlight that is packed with features! It’s equipped with a CREE XP-L HI V3 LED and delivers up to 100 lumens! It features five brightness levels and three specialty modes: strobe, SOS, and location beacon. It features a dual side switch so you can operate this flashlight easily with one hand. Klarus XT15 - 355 meters (1165 feet)
It’s always exciting to talk about one of the original Klarus XT series flashlights. The XT15 is still really popular today because of its long beam throw, dual-tactical tail switch, simple interface, and magnetic charging capabilities. With its CREE XM-L2 U2 LED, the XT15 delivers 1020 lumens and has a great beam that is tight and focused while also providing a good amount of flood so you can see around you.
