Best EDC Nitecore LED Flashlights

We’re on a bit of a Nitecore kick recently since we received a few new Nitecore LED flashlights. This brand accepts nothing but perfection in their flashlights and delivers the very best to flashlight enthusiasts, outdoor enthusiasts, or even just the casual user. Today, we want to look into Nitecore’s smaller, but still powerful, LED flashlights that you can easily carry on your person. Once you start carrying a small EDC flashlight with you, you won’t know how you lived without it.

Nitecore Tip 2017

Let’s start with the light that was most recently added to our collection! The Nitecore Tip 2017 is a monster pocket flashlight! It delivers 360 lumens which is beyond excellent for an EDC flashlight and has four brightness levels you can choose between. You won’t always need the 360 lumens and if you need to conserve battery then the lower brightness levels are perfect. Speaking of the battery, the Tip has a built-in lithium-ion battery pack that is USB rechargeable!

Operating the Tip is easy with its dual switches - one to turn the light ON and OFF and the other to cycle through the brightness levels. You may be worried about the light accidentally turning on in your pocket. Nitecore thought of that and included a pocket clip that conveniently covers the switches so you won’t turn them on. If you don’t like using the pocket clip, Nitecore has another option for you! The Tip features two operating modes: the Daily Mode and the Constant-On Mode. In the Daily Mode, the Tip will turn off after 30 seconds of no operation so if the light does turn on in your pocket or a bag, it won’t stay on for long. In the Constant-On Mode the light gives out continuous illumination.

Nitecore Thumb

While not as powerful as the Nitecore Tip, the Thumb has its own unique features that are useful in a variety of situations. It delivers 85 lumens and has three brightness levels and a flashing mode to choose from. With 85 lumens, the Thumb illuminates a large area and eliminates any dead spots. The Thumb features both a white LED and red LED that you can choose between. The red LED is excellent for preserving your night vision while still illuminating the area around you.

Another unique feature of the Thumb is its 120° adjustable head that you can move to better illuminate the area of your choosing. It’s also USB rechargeable and features a charging indicator so you know when the flashlight is completely charged and when it’s still charging. The Thumb is an excellent EDC light.

Nitecore Tube

The Tube is the perfect starter keychain LED flashlight! It has many features of high-end EDC flashlights but without the weighty price behind it. The Tube is small enough to fit in a pocket or bag or even on a keychain if you don’t mind a little extra bulk. It delivers 45 lumens and has two brightness levels you can choose between. With its single switch design, the operation is easy to learn in just moments.

Just like the previous two lights we talked about, the Tube also features a built-in lithium-ion battery pack that’s USB rechargeable! Just plug in a micro USB cable and let your flashlight charge whenever you need to! Having a rechargeable EDC light is not only convenient, but many times users require it for their needs.
