Be Prepared with the Klarus XT11X Tactical Flashlight
Still considered one of the most ultimate tactical flashlights today, the Klarus XT11X blows people away with it's super high output and amazing versatility. Today we want to talk about the features of the XT11X flashlight and what makes it such a popular and innovative tactical flashlight.
Ultra Bright Tactical Flashlight
First and foremost, that 3200 lumen output is beyond impressive. Klarus continues to amaze us with compact flashlights that deliver these extremely high outputs. The XT11X is less than 6 inches in length but we still see an amazing amount of light. Thanks to its orange-peel texture reflector, you have a nice wide beam that still has a hot spot in the middle. This gives you the best of both worlds in terms of balance. So you do have a hotspot that allows you to see a little further into the distance while also having a spill so you can see everything around you. The XT11X has a maximum beam distance of 283 meters. So while it's not a throw light, it can definitely get you some distance.
Rechargeable Tactical Flashlight
Klarus knows what users want and that is an LED flashlight that's convenient and versatile. It is micro USB rechargeable and features a charging indicator that you can refer to to know the status of the battery. This makes the flashlight extremely convenient to charge. You don't need to worry about an external battery charger or about having to replace the batteries constantly. You can use any micro USB cord, plug the flashlight in, and it'll charge away.
The Klarus XT11X is able to run on one 18650, two CR123 batteries, or two Klarus 16340 batteries. This gives you quite a few options picking which battery works best for you. The good news is that Klarus provides you with a 3100 mAh 18650 lithium-ion battery with the XT11X flashlight. When you first turn on the flashlight, you'll also see a battery level indicator to give you an idea of how much charge your battery has left in it. Based on the color you see, it will indicate how much charge the battery has. If you see green, your battery is 70% charged. If you see orange, your battery is 30 to 70% charged. If you see red, your battery is 10 to 30% charged and if you see a flashing red it means your battery is below 10%. If you do see flashing red, make sure to charge your flashlight right away to prolong the life of your lithium-ion battery.
Klarus XT11X LED Flashlight Operation
The operation of the XT11X is quite robust to provide users with an extremely versatile flashlight. So there are few components that we're going to talk about so you can see just how packed with features this tactical flashlight is.
Triple Switch Design
The XT11X features a triple switch design with dual tail switches and a side switch that functions independently. This means you can operate the flashlight using the side switch or the dual tail switches, whichever is your preference. With the tail switches, you'll be able to turn the light on and off, cycle through the brightness levels, and have access to a momentary-on, a One-Touch Turbo, and a One-Touch Strobe or a One-Touch Low depending on the programmable settings.
The side switch, on the other hand, is going to turn the flashlight on and off, cycle through the brightness levels, access the flashing modes, give you a One-Touch Low, and give you a mode memory function. The mode memory function remembers the last brightness level you used and turns onto that level. The side switch is really great for general use while the tail switches are really great for more tactical use.
Multiple Brightness Levels
The XT11X features six total outputs. You have four brightness levels that range from 15 lumens to 3200 lumens along with a strobe in an SOS.
Two Programmable Modes
To add to its versatility, the XT11X features two programmable modes. The modes will only affect the tail switch operation so the side switch stays the same no matter which setting you have the flashlight in. The Tactical Mode gives you access to a One-Touch Strobe and cycles through three out of the four brightness levels. Klarus has paired the brightness levels down to three and gives you an instant strobe for tactical purposes. Many police officers and security personnel prefer using the Tactical Mode for this reason.
The Outdoor Mode is going to give you a One-Touch Low and is able to cycle through all four brightness levels. This is ideal for general use and outdoor use. If you prefer using tail switches but don't really need to use the Tactical Mode on the flashlight, the Outdoor Mode is perfect. On top of that, switching between the two modes is very easy so you can do it anytime you want.
Durable Tactical Flashlight
Klarus creates extremely durable tactical flashlights, built to withstand harsh environments. The XT11X is IPX8 waterproof rated meaning that you could submerge the flashlight into 2 meters of water for half an hour and it’ll work perfectly. It’s impact resistant up to 1 meter so it can withstand accidental drops from time to time. The rugged aluminum alloy body only provides a sleek look while also being anti-corrosive, lightweight, and heat resistant.
