Compact Tactical Flashlight Design

As we mentioned before, the 360X3 is a compact flashlight with a length of 6 inches so you could clip it onto your pocket using the pocket clip or carry it around in its included holster. Its maximum output reaches up to 3200 lumens which is awesome for such a compact flashlight! Thanks to the equipped CREE XHP70.2 P2 LED and long orange peel textured reflector, the 360X3 delivers a powerful beam that’s wonderfully diffused. It has a maximum beam distance of 283 meters so while it’s not a throw light, you’ll definitely be able to see into the distance.

Innovative User Interface

The Klarus 360X3 features a triple switch design that consists of dual tail switches and a side switch that can be operated independently. You may be familiar with the triple switch design of the Klarus XT11GT, Klarus XT11X, or Klarus XT11S. However, the 360X3 has a completely unique dual tail switch design. First, let me talk a bit about the side switch. You’re able to turn the flashlight on and off and cycle through the modes. Also, the side switch gives you access to a One-Touch Low as well as a built-in memory function which definitely comes in handy.

Now let’s talk about that dual tail switch design. The 360X3 features a 360° omni-directional tail switch design and this means that you can operate the flashlight from any angle. The main tail switch is the round circular switch in the center and this allows you to turn the flashlight on and off and gives you access to a momentary-on as well as a One-Touch Turbo. The secondary ring switch that circles the main switch gives you access to a One-Touch Strobe or a One-Touch Low. You’re also able to cycle through the brightness levels using the secondary switch (or mode switch) while the flashlight is turned on. So that’s a truly unique tail switch that allows you to quickly activate the flashlight whenever you need to.

The 360X3 features multiple modes including four brightness levels ranging from 15 lumens to 3200 lumens, a strobe mode, and an SOS mode. Between all these different modes, you’re prepared for anything whether that’s walking alone in a dark street or parking lot at night or just searching in your basement for something you may have lost. No matter the situation, the 360X3 is a great flashlight.

Another facet of its versatility is the programmable settings that you can choose between. Both settings only affect the tail switches so the side switch works the same way in either setting. In the Tactical Setting, the default setting, the mode switch gives you access to a One-Touch Strobe when pressed whether the flashlight is on or off. This is the perfect setting for law enforcement, security, military use, or personal use if you’d like to be prepared for any potentially dangerous situation. On the other hand, in the Outdoor Setting the main switch gives you access to the SOS mode while the secondary switch gives you access to a One-Touch Low when pressed down. As the name implies, this setting is particularly great for outdoor use from camping to hiking to spelunking. It’s also a great setting to have around the house. In close quarters that One-Touch Low is extremely useful. You can switch between settings easily and whenever you’d like to which is a great perk of these programmable settings. While you may wish to have your 360X3 tactical flashlight in the Tactical Setting, you may want the Outdoor Setting for a long weekend camping trip you have coming up.

Rechargeable Flashlight

Not only is the 360X3 high intensity flashlight versatile, it’s also convenient since it’s USB rechargeable. It features a micro USB port located on the side and protected by a silicone cover. Anytime your battery is running low you can just plug the flashlight in and it’ll charge while you continue on with your day. No extra battery chargers or extra batteries needed. The 360X3 also has a battery capacity/charging indicator that lets you know the status of the battery. When you plug the flashlight in to charge the indicator, located on the side switch, will glow red to signal it’s charging and green to signal that the battery is full. If it’s having issues charging, you’ll see a yellow flashing light. This could mean that there’s dirt in the port or that the charging cable or wall adapter is acting up. Either way, it’s nice to know right off the bat if your flashlight is not taking a charge for some reason.

This tactical flashlight comes with a Klarus 18650 battery, but you could also equip it with either two CR123A batteries or two 16340 batteries. The 360X3 has an Intelligent Battery Identification System that will detect what type of battery you put in and will auto-adjust the output level to match the installed battery’s discharge rate. This ensures that the battery and flashlight are safe even if the battery you install is not as powerful as the included Klarus 18650 battery.
