Is the Stealth Flashlight For You?

Is the Stealth Flashlight For You?

On the flashlight market today you will find a myriad of tactical flashlights and it can be tough finding a flashlight that's really great for you. So we try to do reviews so you can get a good idea of what you want and what kind of tactical flashlight you're looking for. The tactical flashlight I'll be reviewing today is called the Stealth Tactical Flashlight and according to the website stealthflashlightusa.com, it is the "number one best tactical flashlight on the market." Now of course you know that anyone can say words like this and not mean them. No one is holding anyone accountable for saying "oh this is the best flashlight in the universe" or "this is the best flashlight in the world."

You can scroll down to see a really entertaining video that describes the flashlight a little bit so you get a better idea of what this flashlight is all about. It does have three excellent features that I would like to make note of. The first feature is that it is USB rechargeable and at the same time it can function as a power bank charging any of your USB devices. According to the website, it does say that it can fully charge your iPhone or Android device. So that's definitely quite a claim to fully charge your iPhone or Android. It definitely has a lot of power to that battery if that is the case. Unfortunately it just tells me that it uses a lithium ion battery so it doesn't tell me what kind of battery it is or what the capacity is though I'm going to assume it's probably just a regular 18650 battery.

It also has a glass breaker on the tail end of the flashlight. You can remove the tail of the flashlight to reveal that glass breaker. This is really a great feature to have in a tactical flashlight because it allows you to smash through any kind of glass in an emergency situation. It's also great that they actually have a little cover for that glass breaker because there are flashlights that do have the glass breaker but they don't have a cover to it and it makes carrying the flashlight around a little more difficult. A rather unique and awesome feature of this flashlight is that the little tail cap that also comes off to reveal the glass breaker is a bottle opener. This is definitely not something I've seen in a flashlight before and I have to say I think it's really neat that they actually include a bottle opener on their tactical flashlight.

Tactical Flashlight Design

So while we're talking about the body of the flashlight I want to point out it has a pretty basic tactical flashlight body design. It has an anti-slip texture on the body as well as on the head of the flashlight you can see that it does have those heat dissipation grooves which is really great. You definitely want to see heat dissipation grooves with a flashlight that delivers quite a bit of power. It also has a really nice crenelated bezel that's not too big and not too small so you can definitely do damage with it. But the bezel is not so large that it will be cumbersome carrying it around. The Stealth Tactical Flashlight is equipped with a CREE XM L2 bulb and it can deliver up to 1500 lumens of power which is a decent amount of light for tactical flashlight. Normally with tactical flashlight you'll find that they range from about 1000 to 2000 lumens so that's right smack in the middle of that. It's got the three different brightness settings and according to the website it has over two and half hours of no stop light high beam action. Assuming that the two and a half hours is on the highest brightness level, that is a really great run time for the flashlight to have. Now if the two and a half hours is on the lower brightness level then I'll admit it's not a great run time. The stealth tactical flashlight also has a strobe light and an S.O.S. With both of these handy. This tactical flashlight is definitely ready for any emergency that may come your way and would be great as an emergency flashlight.

The Stealth Flashlight is extremely durable. It has a double wall design so it's twice as thick, maybe a little more, than your average tactical flashlight. So it definitely is incredibly durable. However, because it has so much extra material it's definitely going to be heavier than your average tactical flashlight as well. And that's really important to remember. If you care about compact and lightweight then this Stealth Tactical Flashlight is probably not for you. If you don't mind having a heavier flashlight and you want something that's extremely durable then definitely check out the Stealth Flashlight. It's also waterproof so you are able to use this flashlight whether it's raining in a crazy rainstorm or what have you. You won't have to worry about it getting wet and that's definitely nice. With each Stealth Flashlight you get an impact resistant padded casing to carry the flashlight in as well as its accessories. You get your rechargeable lithium ion battery as well as a battery charger that you are able to use. You also get four additional colors for the bezel which is really interesting. So you can choose between black, silver, red, and pink. I definitely think it's a lot of fun that it comes with these different colors and allows you to personalize your flashlight a little bit more.

The Stealth Flashlight does come with a 30 day guarantee so if you don't like your flashlight just go ahead and return it within those 30 days and you should get a full refund minus a 15 dollar restocking fee. And this does not include any shipping charges you may incur when you purchase the flashlight or when you return the flashlight. I have to admit that restocking fee is pretty steep. They also offer a limited warranty against manufacturing defects so if your flashlight doesn't operate because of any manufacturing defects and has not been subject to misuse or abuse then the flashlight will be repaired or replaced. So definitely a pretty good warranty on that.

Concerns of the Stealth Flashlight

So here are a few of my concerns with this flashlight. I'm definitely a little concerned about the battery on it. It doesn't specify what capacity the battery is and it just has a typical blue casing over the battery so you can't actually see anything. I'm concerned it doesn't have an ITS temperature control system that will downgrade the brightness levels if the flashlight is overheating this is a safety feature that I find very important in high end flashlights because it does protect the LED and the internal components. Also on the website stealthflashlightusa.com, I can see that they are offering this flashlight for $47.97 with shipping and handling. Looking at their warranty policy however, they refer to another site, stealthtactical.com where it looks like they might be selling the same flashlight for $29.95. Now I'm not really sure if there's a difference between these two flashlights or why one is being sold less than the other but it makes me a little nervous and question the honesty of this particular company. Not only that but as you scroll down the stealthflashlightusa.com website it continues to tell you to order the tactical flashlight today several times scrolling down. Not really big on the salesy language. I tend not to trust it and take caution with any website that implements it.

Benefits of the Stealth Flashlight

Now the pros of the Stealth Tactical Flashlight that I find really unique are definitely the fact that it is so durable. That's really excellent. I think that the glass breaker is a great feature to have. I like that the flashlight is always prepared for emergencies. I like that it has that power bank option and this also indicates that it's prepare for emergencies. If your car breaks down and your phone is dead you can use the flashlight to charge your phone. You can also use it as an S.O.S. beacon letting someone know that you may need help and that's really great. I also think that bottle opener is really just awesome. What a clever idea for a flashlight. So all in all definitely a unique flashlight. If you are considering purchasing it I definitely would look around and make sure you're getting the best price for it.
