Klarus 360X1 Innovative Tactical Flashlight

Klarus recently released the 360X3 and 360X1 tactical flashlights. These flashlights have truly impressed us with all their amazing features as well as their unique tactical tail switches. Today, we want to focus on the Klarus 360X1 flashlight. It is a smaller and more scaled-down version of the Klarus 360X3 making it simpler to use and easier to carry. 1800 Lumen Compact Flashlight

The first feature we want to talk about is the unique dual tail switch design on the 360X1. It features omnidirectional tail switches that allow you to operate the flashlight from any angle. The main switch, which allows you to turn on and off the flashlight, is a round button that sits right on the center of the tailcap. The secondary switch, which allows you to cycle through brightness levels, is a ring around the main switch. Both switches feature a textured rubber that really grips your finger and prevents your finger from slipping. With this design, it allows you to quickly pull out your flashlight and react immediately rather than looking for the correct switch and having to fumble around with your flashlight.

The tail switches also have their own features that make the 360X1 an excellent tactical flashlight to have. The main switch gives you access to a momentary on and a One-Touch Turbo. The secondary switch, on the other hand, gives you access to either a One-Touch Strobe or a One-Touch Low depending on which setting you have the flashlight in. The 360X1 also features multiple outputs including four brightness levels, a strobe mode, and an SOS mode. So you have a lot of options when it comes to which brightness level you need at whatever time. The low and medium brightness levels are really great for close-quarters as well as just conserving the battery.

Programmable Settings

The 360X1 flashlight features two programmable settings so you can switch between them anytime. It starts out in the default setting which is the Tactical Setting. In this setting, the secondary switch will give you a One-Touch Strobe and you'll only be able to access the turbo, high, and low brightness levels. This setting is for those who need a tactical flashlight that's always prepared or would just like peace of mind with that One-Touch Strobe.

The Outdoor Setting is really great for general use, camping, hiking, and any other outdoor activity. The secondary tail switch will give you a One-Touch Low, allowing you to easily access the low brightness level at any time. It will also be able to cycle through all four brightness levels. You can switch between the Outdoor Setting and the Tactical Setting at anytime, anywhere. Switching between settings is fairly easy and, once you get the hang of it, you can do it whenever you want. Although many users prefer to just leave their flashlight in one setting, others enjoy switching back and forth depending on what they plan to use their 360X1 for. Rechargeable Flashlight

The 360 X1 is also a rechargeable flashlight and features a micro USB charging port located on its side. With its Intelligent Charging System, the 360X1 has a fast charge up to 1A and will adjust the charging current as needed to make sure that the charging is safe and reliable. It features a charging indicator that doubles as a battery capacity indicator so that you can always know the status of the battery. While the Klarus 360X1 is charging, you’ll see a red light that indicates that it’s charging or a green light that indicates it’s finished charging. You may also see a flashing yellow light and this means that the flashlight is not taking a charge and needs to be checked for dirt and debris in the micro USB port or that the charge cord or wall adapter need to be replaced and things like that.

The battery capacity indicator will glow for a few seconds when you first turn the flashlight on and you can get a good idea of how much charge is left in the battery based on the color the indicator glows. This is especially handy so you can plan your usage of the flashlight. While the 360X1 does come with an 18650 battery, you can also equip it with two CR123A batteries or two Klarus 16340 batteries.

The 360X1 is also a low-maintenance flashlight and does its best to take care of itself. It has multiple protections in place to make sure that it is long-lasting such as over-charging protection, over discharging protection, high current protection, reverse polarity protection, and impact protection. It also features thermal protection which monitors the internal temperature of the flashlight and will adjust the output accordingly to make sure the flashlight does not overheat. The 360X1 is truly an excellent and convenient tactical flashlight.
