The FX10 features a Cree XP-L HI V3 LED and delivers up to 1000 lumens, featuring a maximum beam distance of 300 meters. With the FX10 you are able to adjust the focus using the Klarus Focusing System. Simply twist the head of the flashlight to adjust the beam and you'll find the perfect focus for any situation. It features a very smooth transition from the spotlight focus to the floodlight focus. In the flood light focus, the beam distance is 54 meters while in the spotlight focus, the maximum beam distance is 300 meters. Being able to choose your beam focus allows you to use the flashlight in more situations. While the flood light may be great for scouting the house or using during a project while working on the house, you may wish to look further away into the distance when you're looking into your backyard or for certain on-the-job tasks.

Tactical Response

As I mentioned before, the FX10 features a triple switch design which includes dual tail switches and a side switch that functions independently from the tail switches. With the tail switches, you have a momentary-on, One-Touch Turbo, and One-Touch Strobe or One-Touch Low. With the side switch, you have a One-Touch Low as well as a built-in memory function.

The tactical tail switches are excellent because it makes operating the flashlight is very intuitive. You have the main round switch and the secondary paddle switch. You can use the main switch to turn the flashlight on and the secondary paddle switch to cycle through the brightness levels while the flashlight is on. The main switch gives you access to that One-Touch Turbo as well as a momentary on. The secondary switch gives you access to a strobe mode or a One Touch Low. You can choose whichever switch you'd like to use at whichever moment. While some users really prefer using the tail switches, others may prefer using the side switch. This gives you some options and how you'd like to operate the FX10.

Versatile LED Flashlight

Two Programmable Settings

With the FX10 tactical flashlight, you have six total outputs. First, you have four brightness levels that range from 10 lumens to 1000 lumens giving you several options in choosing whatever brightness level you may need. In close-quarters you may prefer using the low or medium brightness levels to give you just that right amount of light without blinding you. Along with the four brightness levels, you also have access to a strobe mode and an SOS mode. Both of these modes are used for emergencies and give you peace of mind knowing that you're prepared for any situation.

To add to the versatility of the Klarus FX10, you also get to choose between two programmable settings - the Tactical Setting and the Outdoor Setting. It's important to know that the settings really only affect the tail switches so the side switch will remain the same no matter what setting you have the flashlight on. In the Tactical Setting, you get the momentary on, the One-Touch Turbo, and the One-Touch Strobe. You'll only be able to cycle through three of the brightness levels rather than all four. However, you can still cycle through all four of the brightness levels using the side switch. The Tactical Setting is really great for law enforcement, security, or just to make you feel safer.

The Outdoor Setting gives you the momentary-on, One-Touch Turbo, and One-Touch Low. You will get all four brightness levels by using the tail switches in this setting. The setting is particularly great if you find yourself using the low brightness level with a good amount of frequency, especially for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and more.

The beautiful aspect with these two programmable settings is that you can switch between them at any time. You do not need to stick to just one which allows you to tailor the light to any need.

Rechargeable Flashlight

USB Rechargeable Flashlight

The FX10 is not only a versatile flashlight, it's also an extremely convenient flashlight. It features a USB charging function with a micro USB port located on the side of the flashlight. So you can plug any micro USB cord into the FX10 and charge your battery easily. You can charge your flashlight while you're working on the computer, driving around doing errands, or just hanging out at home relaxing.

You can refer to the charging indicator at any time to see the status of the flashlight while it's charging. It will glow red while it's still charging and green when it's finished. You may see a flashing yellow indicator and this means that the flashlight is not taking a charge. If you see this happen it could be for several reasons. Your battery may be at too low of a voltage to charge through a USB function and you may need a battery charger to charge the battery. It's also possible that dirt or debris is in the micro USB port, or that the wall adapter or charging cord is faulty. No matter what, it's great to know if your flashlight is not taking a charge so you can inspect what may be going on with it.

The Klarus FX10 is an 18650 flashlight but it can also run on two CR123A batteries or two 16340 batteries giving you a few options on which batteries you like to use. The charging indicator doubles as a battery capacity indicator so that you can get an idea of how much battery charge you have left. When you first turn on the flashlight, the indicator will glow a specific color for a few seconds and you'll know where your battery charge is at.
