Klarus Lights - The BRIGHTEST and BEST Tactical Lights

Klarus Lights - The BRIGHTEST and BEST Tactical Lights

Here at FlashlightZ, it should be obvious by now that we really, really like Klarus-brand flashlights. What you may not realize is that it's not just us. Customers love Klarus as well! Let's look at some of the flashlights which really exemplify the Klarus brand.

Klarus XT30R

This is a heck of an expression of the Klarus philosophy on flashlights. Not only does it have the aircraft-grade aluminum body with high impact resistance and quality waterproofing, but it also has Klarus's patented dual-tail switch and magnetic charging system. What do these things mean? Well let's take a look.

Klarus XT30R Tactical Rechargeable Flashlight

The dual-tail switch is one of Klarus's signature design aspects. Two switches, both included on the tail of the flashlight. The round, rubbery one in the center is the primary switch, which turns the light on and off. The second, aluminum lever-like switch is the mode switch, which changes brightness modes OR, if the light is off, instantly activates the strobe. It's Klarus's one-two tactical punch. First of all, having the switches on the tail is convenient for holding the light in a tactical manner or keeping the switches out of the way if the flashlight is mounted on a rifle. Having the inputs located here also make things easier if you want to replace the tailcap with a remote pressure switch.

Klarus XT30R Rechargeable Tactical Flashlight

The magnetic charging system is something even more unique to Klarus, and it's great. Both innovative and utterly practical. Rather than a mini USB port favored by the vast majority of rechargeable lights, the XT30R (and other Klarus lights utilizing similar technology) has a phosphor copper ring with gold plating. It provides no physical ingress to the light. Instead, power is discharged into the light by metal-to-metal contact. This eliminates the weakness to waterproofing presented by a gaping hole.

Both of these additions are fantastic for a tactical light. They make the light more useful and more rugged. Of course, another typical Klarus trait is that the light is extremely powerful. The CREE XHP35 HI D4 LED gives this light 1800 lumens of brightness. It also has an excellent deep, smooth reflector which throws the light 820 meters. This is all exemplary of Klarus's philosophy.

Klarus XT2C

The XT2C is definitely something at the opposite direction. This flashlight is much smaller, for one thing. It's only five and a half inches long. Consequentially, it's also a comparatively dimmer light at "only" 1100 lumens. Of course, this is still much greater than most lights its same size.

Klarus XT2C 1100 Lumens Tactical Flashlight

Also contrasting with the XT30R, the XT2C doesn't have a self-recharging function. The XT2C is designed to be a more affordable light. And yet, the XT2C still retains Klarus's dual-tail switch design. So the XT2C can be held in a tactical manner if need be. Plus, I have to add that this is absolutely one of Klarus's most durable lights. So it's fantastic to use in a tactical way. Klarus even makes a remote pressure switch especially fitted for the XT2C. So even when Klarus is thinking they want to go much more straightforward and economical, nothing is lost with the interface or durability.

Klarus XT11GT

Of course, no discussion of Klarus qualities would be complete without bringing in the workhorse of their line. The XT11GT is much smaller than the XT30R, but with many of the same features. For instance, it's rechargeable. Unfortunately it does not utilize Klarus's magnetic charging technology, and instead utilizes the industry-standard micro USB port for charging.

Klarus XT11GT Tactical Programmable Flashlight

It also has the dual-tail switch, but more than that, it has a side switch as well. Why so many switches? Because it gives the user maximum control over their flashlight experience. A primary switch provides instant access to the maximally-bright Turbo setting, a paddle switch next to it lets the user easily change brightness levels or gives instant access to the strobe, and the side switch gives the user access to more advanced options. Its programmability maximizes the usefulness of these switches by allowing the user to customize their functionality.

Klarus XT11GT Programmable Tactical Flashlight 2000 Lumens

And of course, we have to mention how insanely bright it is. At 2000 lumens, the XT11GT is as bright as any other light on this list, despite all of its special features. Klarus's customizability, its innovativeness, and its dedication to super-bright LEDs are all showcased with this light.

Klarus XT1C

Klarus extends its same design principles even to the more compact flashlights in its line. The XT1C is a true everyday carry flashlight, only a few inches long in size so it's perfect for carrying in your pocket. And yet, Klarus has not spared it any sturdiness or ruggedness that it would for its larger lights. The XT1C is impact-resistant up to one meter, and rated IPX-8 which means it's waterproof in up to 2 meters of water.

Klarus XT1C Everyday Carry Tactical Flashlight 700 Lumens

Not only is the light utterly tough, but it's utterly bright. Despite being only the size of a thumb it has a CREE XP-L HI V3 LED, which gives it 700 lumens. That's much brighter even than many larger tactical flashlights. And the beam reaches a staggering 210 meters. Imagine being able to light up two football fields with this thing. Did I mention it's the size of a thumb?

But Klarus also always makes lights that can fulfill tactical functions. The XT1C, besides being an excellent everyday carry option, is also a fantastic light for sidearm mounting. The XT1C is built to be easily mounted on a pistol to light up the area in any tactical situation.

In short, Klarus lights always provide ruggedness, brightness, and innovative interface options. And for tactical flashlights, everything besides that is gravy (although Klarus does provide good heaps of gravy as well). So we encourage you to check out Klarus's awesome products here at FlashlightZ, as well as their many accessories which we also offer. It's just a quality brand that has a lot to offer, whether you need a tactical light for recreation or for your work. It's just a quality brand and we absolutely stand behind it.
