One of the most impressive everyday carry flashlight on the market today is the Klarus Mi7. it's compact enough to easily slip into your pocket using the handy little pocket clip or to put in your purse or bag. So let's start out with the power. The Klarus Mi7 can deliver up to 700 lumens and has a beam distance of 110 meters. It features a short orange peel textured reflector causing the beam to be very diffused and very broad. This makes it excellent for any up close work, but that 700 lumens can really illuminate quite a large area so it’s great for more than work that’s right in your face. Not to mention that you can tail stand the Mi7 and use it as a lantern for hands-free illumination. If the power ever goes out in your house or at your office, the Mi7 will really come in handy with that lantern feature. You can illuminate a whole room pretty easily with a comfortable light.

The Mi7 is compatible with an AA battery and a 14500 battery. This is part of what makes it user-friendly for beginner flashlight users. It's great to have an AA flashlight because those batteries are so easy to come by and are incredibly inexpensive. In fact, the Mi7 actually comes with an included AA battery to start with. The only downside about the AA battery is that you're not going to get the full 700 lumens. Equipped with an AA battery, the Mi7 is going to deliver a maximum of 330 lumens which is still a great amount of light for an EDC flashlight. However, if you want the power and the full 700 lumens then I highly recommend you get that 14500 battery. The great thing about 14500 lithium ion batteries is that they are rechargeable using a battery charger and you can even find USB rechargeable 14500 batteries where you directly plug the cord into the battery. Either way, it's great that you have a couple different options when picking a power source for the light.

The Mi7 is operated using a stainless steel side switch that is incredibly easy to find in the dark and very responsive. You have access to three brightness levels, a strobe mode, and an SOS mode, giving you plenty of options. You can also lock out that side switch to prevent accidental illumination in your pocket or bag. It also has immediate access to the moonlight mode and the high mode. You can also use the side switch as a battery capacity indicator which will cause the flashlight to blink and let you know around where your battery’s charge is at. It's really neat how there are so many features in this single side switch. It's very easy to learn and very convenient.

First of all, it's constructed from Aerospace grade aluminum alloy with a hard anodized finish with the exception of the Mi7 Ti which is constructed from beautiful sleek titanium. We’ll get to the variations of the Mi7 in a bit here. With that sturdy construction you have a truly durable everyday carry flashlight that you can rely on time and time again. It is waterproof up to IPX8 standards so you can take it out in the rain and it'll still work perfectly fine. It's also impact-resistant up to 1 meter so it can handle any accidental drops that may happen along the way. The lens is a hardened mineral lens with an anti-reflective coating that's going to protect the LED. So no matter what comes its way, this flashlight is built to last.
