LED Flashlights for Any Occasion Part I
One of the most important improvements to civilization was Edison’s invention of the light bulb. Since then we have expanded our use of light to not only brighten up rooms and allow us to drive at night, but also to help create computers, phones, and other technologies. Lighting is greatly depended on today so why wouldn’t flashlights be another essential lighting tool that everyone should have? I could go through the myriad of reasons why everyone should have a flashlight, but I’ve already done that blog. I can tell you that I have a flashlight in almost every room in my house (partly because I work at FlashlightZ) and I actually use every one of them frequently.
Everyday Use and Emergency LED Flashlights
These flashlights refer to the ones you use in situations such as blackouts or when the dog escapes and you have to search the neighorhood in the dark to look for him. For these flashlights you’ll want ones that have a longer run time and feel comfortable in your hand. Here is an awesome Emergency flashlights.
The Klarus XT2C is a comfortable size flashlight at a little over 5 inches in length. You can equip it with either an 18650 battery or a CR123 battery. Thankfully, the XT2C already comes equipped with a rechargeable 18650 battery! So the XT2C has 3 brightness levels and one specialty mode for emergencies (the Strobe mode). On the High brightness level it delivers 1100 lumens which is incredibly bright! On the low brightness level it delivers 10 lumens and can last 190 hours! This is what you would want to look for in an emergency flashlight! 10 lumens is perfect to illuminate in front of you.
Everyday Carry LED Flashlights
For those who find that flashlights are needed more frequently, everyday carry flashlights are the right fit! These flashlights usually come with a pocket clip so that you can easily clip them onto your pocket, belt loop, or wherever. Other everyday carry (edc) flashlights are small enough that they can clip on a key ring or fit in a pocket easily. Many people prefer their everyday carry flashlights to be USB echargeable so that they can recharge the flashlight while they’re driving or working on their computer. The MecArmy PT16 is a small flashlight that’s less than 3 inches long and can be considered a keychain light. It can also comfortably fit in a cargo pocket or purse which is just handy. It comes with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery and can be charged using a standard micro USB cable. The PT16 has a micro-USB port located on the side and can fully charge in 90 minutes!
These flashlights are used in career settings such as automobile repair, plumbing, engineering, construction, law enforcement, search and rescue, and more. Of course, each job requires a flashlight with different features.
