Klarus has announced two insanely impressive tactical flashlights that we’re excited to talk about today - the Klarus 360X1 and the Klarus 360X3! Both have a new tail switch design that makes the them truly innovative. Not only that, both flashlights are packed with features that many flashlight enthusiastic will love. You can pre-order the Klarus 360X1 or the Klarus 360X3 today and we’re expecting to ship them out around December 10th. So let's take a look at these two amazing flashlights.
Klarus 360X1 Tactical Flashlight
The 360X1 is the more compact flashlight of the two we’re talking about today. It's powerful and makes a great flashlight for everyday carry. Time to dive into the features of this compact tactical flashlight.
1800 Lumen LED Flashlight
The 360X1 measures about 5.5 inches in length making it easy to clip onto your pocket or carry inside of its holster. It may be small, but it's not lacking in power and is able to deliver up to 1800 lumens. We are impressed with this compact little torch. It has a maximum beam distance of 246 meters so you'll be able to see far into the distance with the 360X1. With its shorter smooth reflector, you're going to have a pretty focused hotspot with this light.
Dual Tail Switches for Klarus 360X1
Now it's time to get into the truly unique feature about the 360X1 that separates it from other flashlights - the dual tail switch design. The main switch is in the middle of the tail cap while the secondary switch is a ring that circles the main one allowing you to operate the flashlight from literally any angle. With these dual tail switches you have a momentary-on, a One-Touch Turbo, a One-Touch Low, or a One-Touch Strobe, and SOS, and a lockout function. Those dual tail switches are incredibly impressive and allow you to quickly operate the flashlight at any given time.
Along with the six output levels, the 360X1 comes with two programmable settings. In the Tactical Setting, which is also the default setting, you have a One-Touch Turbo and a One-Touch Strobe with the two tail switches. In the Outdoor Setting, you have a One-Touch Turbo, a One-Touch Low, and an SOS using the dual tail switches. The side switch remains the same in both settings. Between the programmable settings, the tail switch design, and the multiple outputs, the 360X1 is a very versatile flashlight.
Rechargeable Flashlight
This tactical flashlight is also USB rechargeable and features a micro USB port located on the side and features an Intelligent Charging System. This system features a fast charge up to 1A and will adjust the charging current as needed so that the charging is always safe and reliable. You have a charging indicator that also functions as a battery capacity indicator so you're able to monitor the status of the flashlight whether it’s charging or whether you just need to know how much charge is left in it. The 360X1 is compatible with one 18650 battery, two CR123A batteries, and two Klarus 16340 batteries. With its Intelligent Battery Identification System, this tactical flashlight will adjust the output according to the discharge rate of the battery that is installed. Klarus 360X3
The Klarus 360X3 is the bigger brother of the 360X1. While both are 18650 flashlights, the 360X3 is a little bit bigger, but it's still compact enough to carry around using the included holster. It also has a different body style that's more tactical in shape. Let's look at some more differences between these two flashlights.
3200 Lumen LED Flashlight
The 360X3 features a different LED then the 360X1. It boasts an astonishing 3200 lumen output with a maximum distance of 283 meters. It also features a triple switch design that includes dual tail switches and a side switch. The dual tail switches are exactly the same as the 360X1. The side switch operates independently from the tail switches and features a One-Touch Low and a built-in memory function so with the 360X3 you have a few more options on how you'd like to operate the flashlight. You still have the omnidirectional tail switches so you can still operate the flashlight from any angle making the 360X3 and the 360X1 true tactical beasts.
The 360X3 feature six total outputs that includes four brightness levels that range from 15 lumens to 3200 lumens as well as a strobe and an SOS mode. You also get the same two programmable settings with a 360X3 that you get with the 360X1: the Tactical Setting and the Outdoor Setting. Just like before, the Tactical Setting features a One-Touch Turbo and a One-Touch Strobe while the Outdoor Setting features a One-Touch Turbo, One-Touch Low, and an SOS. The side switch doesn't change no matter which setting you have the flashlight in. Also, you can lock out the side switch as well as the tail switches to prevent the flashlight from turning on accidentally.
Other than those few features, the 360X1 and the 360X3 are very similar. The 360X3 is also a USB rechargeable flashlight that features a battery capacity/charging indicator. It's compatible with a single 18650 battery, two CR123A batteries, or two Klarus 16340 batteries. It also features an Intelligent Battery Identification System and both tactical flashlights feature various protections to make sure that they are always safe to use. With both flashlights you get impact protection, overcharging protection, overcurrent protection, over-voltage protection, reverse polarity protection, and thermal protection. You get so much out of these tactical flashlights and the 360X3 provides more versatility than the 360X1, so if you need something that's a little more versatile definitely check out the Klarus 360X3 tactical flashlight.
