Stealth Tactical Flashlight Review

Stealth Tactical Flashlight Review

Today we're going to talk about a new flashlight that you may or may not have seen yet called the Stealth Flashlight. Now looking at their website, stealthflashlightusa.com, I see that they don't have a lot of options as to where you can go. It kind of just throws in your face all of these features of this flashlight with a really salesy attitude. So already my antenna are kind of up. I'm not sure if this would be considered a great website just because I don't get to see any other potential products or anything about the company itself. They do have at the very bottom a privacy page, terms page, and a contact us page. So I'm glad to at least see that. In big bold letters on the very front and top of the web. It says "get the number one bestselling tactical flashlight on the market." So it needs to be pretty impressive to live up to that name I would imagine.

Powerful Tactical Flashlight

OK so let's take a look at the flashlight itself. It is a little larger than an everyday carry flashlight. The Stealth Tactical Flashlight is equipped with a CREE XM L2 LED bulb and is able to deliver up to 1500 lumens. It also has three different brightness levels though I can't seem to find where those brightness levels are on the website so I don't know how many lumens each level is. Regardless, with the three different brightness levels you definitely have a bit of versatility with this flashlight. It's really great having a variety of different brightness levels. It allows you to conserve the battery or say if you are with some buddies or companions if you're using your flashlight you won't accidentally blind them by setting it onto lower brightness level. These are just a couple of reasons why having brightness levels or a variety of brightness levels is so great. It also features a strobe and an S.O.S which is awesome. You can use the strobe to fend off any potential attackers. It makes a really great self-defense feature and this is exactly what you'd want in a tactical flashlight. The S.O.S is also another great feature. Many users feel that the S.O.S is unnecessary in a tactical flashlight while other users feel it's an incredibly important feature. Regardless, it's excellent that the flashlight gives you both options.

Operating the Stealth Flashlight

You can operate the Stealth Tactical Flashlight using the single side switch and you can hold it on to immediately turn onto the high beam so that's really great. The website claims that it has over two and a half hours of non-stop lights high beam action. I'm not 100 percent certain if this means that the high brightness level can shine for over two and a half hours or the low brightness level can shine for two and a half hours. It says high beam so it makes me think it is the high brightness level but without any confirmation I can't say for sure. Two and half hours on the high brightness level would be a really good run time. However two and a half hours on the low brightness level would definitely not be the best run time. This is something to keep in mind. Also it says no stop light high beam action. With other high end flashlights you'll find that they have an ITS temperature control system that monitors the internal temperature of the flashlight and adjusts the output accordingly. So if the flashlight is overheating it will downgrade the output from say turbo to high or to medium to protect the flashlights internal components as well as preventing the LED from burning out. I'm not certain that this flashlight comes with that feature. Because of that I'm a little concerned that the flashlight may accidentally burn out its LED or damage its internal components. The good news however is that the Stealth Flashlight website not only offers a 30 day money back guarantee but it also offers a limited warranty against manufacturing defects. I'm not sure how long that warranty lasts though. So if this Stealth Tactical Flashlight is failing to operate due to any manufacturer defects and as long as the customer didn't misuse or abuse their flashlight, the flashlight will be repaired or replaced.

USB Rechargeable Flashlight

Moving onto the battery. The Stealth Tactical Flashlight does come with a lithium ion battery though it does not tell me what the mAh capacity is. I'm going to assume it's an 18650 battery. It's a USB rechargeable flashlight and features a charging indicator light that lets you know when the flashlight is charging. Another really cool feature of this flashlight is that it can act as a power bank and charge your iPhone or Android devices. The website says it can fully charge your iPhone or Android device. That's a pretty big claim. We've seen flashlights act as power banks before and they're usually only able to give a little bit of a charge. Definitely enough to make phone calls if need be but probably not enough that it could charge it all the way. So if the Stealth Flashlight can in fact fully charge a phone that is very impressive.

Rugged and Durable

So let's move on to the durability of this flashlight. A big big selling point of this flashlight is its durability and just the overall design of the body. I'm not exactly sure what the material is used for the Stealth Flashlight but they do claim that they have a double walled design which means that it is about double the thickness of a regular tactical flashlight that you might find on the market today. Now while this will make the flashlight incredibly durable one important thing to note is that it will probably make it significantly heavier so it's going to be a little more difficult to carry on you if that's what you want to do. However that thickness and durability is really excellent and even in the video on the website it shows the flashlight getting run over by a massive truck and still work just fine. Plus they also claim that the flashlight is waterproof and will work in rain, hail, or shine so I think durability-wise the Stealth Tactical Flashlight is a really great flashlight.

This flashlight has a couple of other unique features that I want to touch on. It has a glass breaker on the tail of the flashlight. So with this glass breaker you can easily smash through windows if need be. It's really great for emergency situations. In fact the Stealth Flashlight really seems to be prepared for any extreme tactical situation or self-defense situation. It also features a bottle opener which is something unique and something I've never seen in any flashlight before. I have to say that it makes this tactical flashlight a little more charming and a little more practical for everyday use. It is unfortunate that because it is has that double walled design it's probably going to be too heavy to carry.

You can see on the head of the flashlight it has a really good bezel on it. The crenelated bezel is small enough that it's really not going to get in the way while you're carrying it but is large enough that in a self-defense situation it can do damage. This is exactly what you'd want in a tactical flashlight. With the Stealth Tactical Flashlight you get a stealth tactical kit that comes along with it. And this includes an impact resistant padded casing that you can put your flashlight in. It comes with that rechargeable lithium ion battery that I mentioned earlier. It also comes with a separate battery charger so you can use that to charge the battery. And it also comes with four color trims for the flashlight tip. So you can actually switch out that bezel to black, silver, red, or pink. It's awfully nice they give you that option and changing the colors adds a little more variation that I like seeing in flashlights.

Final Thoughts

All in all I have to say the Stealth Tactical Flashlight looks awesome though I definitely have some concerns about it. I'd like to know a little bit more about that two and a half hours of run time. I would like to know if that's the higher brightness level or the lower brightness level. I would like to know if it has that ITS temperature control system. But all in all it does actually have a lot of features that tactical flashlights should have including a strobe, a crenelated bezel, and extreme durability. It's also great that it can act as a power bank. And I'll be honest, the bottle opener is just a really cool feature to have as well. The good news is you do have that 30 day money back guarantee so you can go ahead and test out the flashlight and see how you feel.
