The New Klarus Flashlight - XT30R Hunting Flashlight

We have no doubt that Klarus will amaze us with their LED flashlights they plan to release this year. They’re already starting with a bang by releasing the XT30R which we’re excited to talk about today! The XT30R is a hunting and search flashlight that provides a lot of power and a long beam throw. Although it’s a hunting and searchlight, the XT30R is so packed with features that it can be used in a variety of situations from security to leisurely outdoor activities. Powerful Hunting Tactical Flashlight

Ok so we’ll start with the information everyone wants first: the lumens and beam throw. The XT30R delivers 1800 lumens thanks to the CREE XHP35 HI D4 LED and has a maximum beam throw of 820 meters! It’s funny because we wrote recently about long throw flashlights. I wish I could add this one as well as the Fenix TK47 to the list now! To give you an idea of how long 820 meters is, it’s a little over half a mile which is pretty insane.

Of course, the beam throw is far from the only attribute of the XT30R. For those familiar with the XT11S and the XT11GT, the interface is very similar. The XT30R has dual-tactical tail switches and a side switch that gives you a lot of options on how you’d like to operate the flashlight. You can lock out the side switch if you’d only prefer using the dual-tail switches though. It has four brightness modes ranging from 10 lumens to 1800 lumens and has two flashing modes, SOS and strobe.

Rechargeable Tactical Flashlight

The XT30R is also rechargeable! Rechargeable flashlights are a bonus for many users and a must for others. The XT30R has Klarus’ patented magnetic charging port that Klarus users love! This magnetic charging port allows for easy and secure charging without worrying about the cable slipping out or fiddling with micro USB cables. Included with the flashlight is a USB magnetic charging cable so you can charge the XT30R while you work at your computer or while you’re driving around doing errands. The side switch also acts a battery capacity indicator so you know when it’s time to charge the flashlight and you can plan your usage accordingly.

One of the awesome features of Klarus’ recent flashlight releases is the programmable settings they include. The XT30R has two programmable settings to choose from: the Tactical setting and the Hunting setting. The Tactical setting is one that everyone loves. It allows for One-Touch Turbo using the main switch, One-Touch Strobe using the secondary switch, and easy brightness mode cycling using the secondary switch while the flashlight is on. The Hunting setting (also a user favorite by the way) allows for One-Touch Turbo using the main switch, One-Touch Low using the secondary switch, easy brightness mode cycling using the secondary switch while the flashlight is on, and access to SOS mode.
