The NEWEST and BEST Flashlight Picatinny Gun Mount - the Klarus MGM-4

Are you a fan of seeing what you're shooting at? If you are, and you're a fan of Klarus products like we are, then you're going to be interested in the latest changes in their line of Picatinny metal gun mounts (and if you're not, maybe keep to shooting in the daytime!).

First thing's first: Klarus has discontinued the excellent MGM-2 Onset mount as well as the MGM-3 Offset mount. Only one gun mount remains: the brand-spanking-new MGM-4 Onset Gun Mount. So what's th difference between the old models and the new?

Differences in the Klarus Gun Mounts

(In the pictures, the MGM-4 is on the left; the old onset mount, the MGM-2, is on the right) For one thing, Klarus has a continuing trend. Klarus's gun mounts a few years ago were bulkier and more angular. Klarus engineers have strived to provide the same stability for a sleeker design.

So if you look at the MGM-4, it's a little smaller than the previous mounts. It holds the light a little closer to the rail. Noticeably, the shape of the bore has been enlongated slightly so it's more ovular, and the seams at the sides are a little sloped instead of sealing together perfectly. The advantages of new shape should be obvious: The mount will securely fit more lights, better.

This mount also features six screws. The previous onset mount, the MGM-2, only has three screws. Yes, the MGM-4 will take an extra minute when installing your light, but the result is even greater stability.
