The Ultimate Throw: Fenix TK47
It’s funny that we recently wrote a post about the best beam throw LED flashlights, but we didn’t have this flashlight yet. The Fenix TK47 is the ultimate thrower with a max beam distance of 700 meters which is about 2297 feet! When I took the flashlight out to test it I was blown away by the reach on it. So let’s take a look at this awesome new light at FlashlightZ.
Features of the Fenix TK47
The TK47 is equipped with a CREE XHP35 HI LED and delivers up to 1300 lumens. Keep in mind that the beam is incredibly focused thanks to the deep reflector so it won’t provide a lot of flood. So one of the best features of this flashlight is the diffused LED light on the tail of the TK47. This light functions independently from the main light. The tail switch operates the tail light (go figure) and the side switch will operate the main light.
This diffused tail light is magnificent because you can simply set the TK47 on its head and use the tail light as a lantern. Not to mention that the tail light has a red light and two red flashing features so you can use it for emergency or to preserve your night vision. If you prefer to use only the tail light and don’t want to accidentally turn on the main light, there is a lock out function for the side switch. The main light has four brightness levels and the tail switch has four brightness modes including three red light modes.
Extra Features of the Fenix TK47
There are some other features to take note of with the TK47. First, this awesome LED flashlight has a built-in memory function so it will remember and turn onto the last brightness level you used. This is extremely convenient for a variety of reasons. When you’re in the dark and especially in an enclosed space, turning the flashlight onto the brightest mode can blind you. By using the memory function and setting it on a lower brightness mode you can have sufficient light while not impeding on your own vision. The memory function also can conserve battery power.
Another feature is the downshifting feature. When the voltage drops, the TK47 will drop in brightness level as well to accommodate the voltage. With this feature it gives you an idea of how much battery power is left and it’s nice to know that the flashlight won’t just turn off on you. Also, when it reaches the lowest brightness level, you know it’s about time to change the batteries. The TK47 is one awesome Fenix light! To check it out visit this page!
